It's really annoying when you want to access a site at school, college, or work but the firewall blocks it. Well help is at hand and you have 2 options:

  • Have a look at http://www.phproxy.org/. Here there are sites listed which you can use as a proxy to access your blocked site. You might find that these are blocked though depending on how on the ball your firewall software is.
  • The other option is to put the phproxy software on your own website and access other websites through your website. If you can currently access your website from school, college or work then this is probably a good option as they are unlikely to block this. Just download the zip file from http://www.phproxy.org and follow the instructions in the readme file. It's just a case of dragging a dropping 5 files then uploading them to your server, as simple as that.

It's worth noting that not all websites will work properly when using this, like login features etc but you'll be able to access more than you could before.
