If NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1 KB929300 is failing to install then it is possible that you have a beta version of Framework 3.0 installed on your system.

If this is the case (or even if you're not sure) then download the "Pre-released Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Uninstall Tool" from the Microsoft website. Reboot then install the NET Framework 3.0 final version again from the Microsoft website.
